Motivation and Racing

Hello, friends! So… what has it been? Months since I last blogged?

I feel like this about blogging….

Blah! So, so much has happened since I last blogged. For example, the Nike Women’s Half Marathon in San Francisco in October. I didn’t PR (my PR is 1:49:31 at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle Half Marathon in June 2011) with a 1:55:18, but damn… the hills killed me. This was by far the hardest race I’ve ever completed. I probably stopped and/or walked 10 times during the NWM race. So, I guess that I need to train hills and kill the next race, huh? A 1:55 with tremendous hills and walking is not bad at all. I plan on crushing my next races.

Speaking of races, I already have three races signed up. Get this, crazy… I’ll be running the inaugural Rock ‘n’ Roll Portland Half Marathon on May 20, 2012, the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Full Marathon on June 3, 2012, and then followed by the Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle Half Marathon on June 23, 2012. I’m running my first full marathon!

Hmm… other than that, let’s see, I went to Vancouver, BC for the Foo Fighters in October, celebrated Thanksgiving with the boy’s parents in November. And then just a few days ago spent Christmas with my family in Eugene, Oregon. I love Eugene. Go Ducks!! Rose Bowl, baby!

Oh, and lastly… the boy and I decided to buy very last-minute tickets to LA to spend NYE with our awesome friends, Jay and Lindsay. We’re flying out at 6am tomorrow morning. woohoo!

One of my New Year’s resolution will be to blog more often. I’m not exactly sure what “more often” will look like, but I’ll make sure to fuel you up with my marathon training plans, yummy eats, and travel adventures. Oh, and the pup too. 🙂
