Let me introduce you to the Zojirushi rice cooker that I got two weeks ago.
It rings with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star when you press start and when the rice has finished cooking.
It has special settings for basically any rice imaginable, including porridge (rolled oats an steel cut oats), white rice, sticky rice, and my beloved brown rice.
It has a unique rice cooking technology that knows just how long and at what temperatures/pressure to cook each rice type.
It also has two timer settings that you can use to set the time rice should be done. Long work day? No problem! The Zojirushi is here to save the day.
Simple amazing! I’ve used it twice now and both times have yielded the best brown rice I’ve ever had: soft and fluffy, less chewy in texture than the cheap rice cooker we had before.
I never thought that spending so much on a rice cooker would be worth it, but it really is. 🙂 There are several models available and the one I got is here: Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 5-1/2-Cup Neuro Fuzzy Rice Cooker and Warmer, Premium White
This was my first meal that included Zojirushi brown rice. So delish! Especially since I made Yumm! Salmon
So, there it is. I highly recommend the Zojirushi and hope you try it out. Let me know if you do and what you think of it!
On an ending note, I blogged this entire entry on my WordPress for iPhone app and all pictures were taken with the phone. Perhaps with this convenience I’ll be making a blogging comeback?
