Holiday Festivities in Seattle

Ho ho ho!! Merry Christmas!! This has been such a fun past week. Recapping most of the happenings in pictures. πŸ™‚
Starting with getting and decorating our Christmas tree a couple weekends ago.

I met up with a few wonderful ladies for a wine and painting event. So much fun! I might become a budding artist.

I ended up being able to do a quick run in the rain last week and luckily the glute pain was not too bad. It’s still there so I’m still taking it easy, trigger ball rolling.

Last Saturday’s annual Christmas/white elephant gift exchange party at our friend Court and Janelle’s was so much fun. Girls dressed up and boys wore their ugliest Christmas sweaters.

Last Sunday I met up with several awesome local runner bloggers for a holiday cookie exchange. I ended up baking festive m&m cookies from the recipe here. Yum!

We met at a local BJ’s and enjoyed great conversation and these mini pizookies (fresh cookies topped with ice cream).

A couple nights later I enjoyed a nighttime run with Joe. Loving my cozy Oiselle outfit including the Mac Jacket. Perfect for a cozy cold run.

Afterwards, a homemade Yumm Bowl was in order.

Last Wednesday, I was in a baking mood again so I ended up baking some amazing Peanut Butter Cup Cookies. Wow, make these. They are one of the best cookies I’ve ever made.

Since my brother was in town staying with us, we went to Skillet Diner for dinner. It’s so good. Comfort food for the win. I also love when places serve beer in mason jars.

My company surprised us with a few extra paid holiday days so I ended up being able to move my vacay days up early and took Thu and Fri off. Hooray!

I started Thursday morning with a super rainy morning run. Normally, I’m a big wuss when it comes to rainy running, but donning my Oiselle Clearly Jacket made me feel invincible and protected from the rain. It was a short 3 mile run and sadly some of my glute pain came back. Luckily, I was going to see my chiro/PT that afternoon.

After the run, my brother Andrew and I met Joe for lunch… not just any lunch… dim sum!

Later that evening, Joe and I went to Louis CK at the Paramount Theater. He was effin’ hilarious!!

The next morning (Friday), I met up with Allison at Cafe Besalu in Ballard. It was my first time there and they had amazing French pastries and croissants! So fun meeting another Oiselle teammate!

The rest of the day was spent packing up for our holiday trip to Eugene, playing with the pup, and exchanging Christmas gifts early with Joe. He got me the most amazing gift of art supplies to unleash my artsy side. Canvas, paper, colored pencils, and acrylics. Yay!
